No antibiotics - how does the salmon stay healthy?
Our providers don't use antibiotics or growth hormones in the farming of our salmon. Instead, strict hygiene measures, regular health checks, and a controlled environment are employed to ensure the health and well-being of the salmon.
What does "No GMO" mean for your salmon?
"No GMO" means that our salmon are not genetically modified. We do not use genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the breeding or farming of our salmon to ensure the natural purity and integrity of our products.
Are the salmon tested for pollutants or diseases?
Yes, our salmon are regularly tested by independent laboratories for pollutants and diseases to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. This includes reputable institutions such as the Norwegian Institute of Food, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Research (Nofima) and the Norwegian Veterinary Institute.
Do the salmon meet health standards and regulations?
Yes, our salmon meet the strict health standards and regulations set by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet). They are regularly tested for pollutants, antibiotic residues, and other potential risks to protect the health of our customers.
What measures do you take to ensure that the salmon is fresh?
Our salmon is immediately placed on ice after harvest to preserve its freshness. During transportation, they are kept in special refrigerated containers to ensure they remain cool and stress-free throughout the entire delivery process.
